Some Super Eagles stars could be on the move as the January transfer window in Europe will soon be upon us in less than two months time. But who are the super Eagles players who are going to move to a new club this January?
A couple of super Eagles stars have been linked with January transfers and we might just be seeing them in new clubs when the January transfer window opens.
1. Ademola Lookman.
Ademola Lookman transfer away from Atalanta Football club is almost certain to happen this January after the move failed to happen during the summer transfers.
Several big clubs in Europe are seemingly battling it out for the signature of the CAF player of the year award winner, with teams like Galatasaray football club particularly ready to bid for him.
Other top European clubs like Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspurs are reportedly interested in the services of the super Eagles playmaker.
While his destination is not yet certain, a Move away from Atalanta FC is inevitable pending unforseen circumstances. Hopefully he will rediscover his form in the new team.
2. Raphael Onyedika
According to reports from credible sources, West Ham United are ready to rekindle their interest in Nigerian international Raphael Onyedika when the January transfer window opens in few weeks time.
It has been learnt that the Hammers made an attempt to sign the 24-year-old midfielder during the last summer transfer window, as part of their plans to reinforce their midfield.
However, talks for the deal seemingly broke down reportedly due to Club Brugge’s stance on a €40 million fee, bringing an end to negotiations.
Raphael Onyedika has since played a key role for the Belgian team this season, featuring in 11 matches and registering an assist.
The Super Eagles star is under contract with Club Brugge till June 2027 and is currently valued at around €20 million by Transfermarkt, but his improvement over the years might just be taking him to a top European team this January.
It has been reported that Juventus football club in Italy are also monitoring the situation of the young Super Eagles midfield maestro and could make a move in January too.

3. Stanley Nwabali
The Chippa United Goalkeeper has been the first choice goalkeeper for the super Eagles of Nigeria for a long time now and it’s not surprise that he might just be moving to Europe.
His performance for the super Eagles of Nigeria in crucial competitions like the African Cup of nations and the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers has attracted interest from many clubs in Europe.
While the team he might end up joining is not yet certain, declining a move to Europe to remain in the South African league is very unlikely as the Super Eagles short stopper is expected to move this January.
