CAF CONFIRMS VENUES AND DATES FOR 2026 FIFA WORLD CUP AFRICAN PLAY-OFF TOURNAMENT
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced that the 2026 FIFA World Cup African Play-Off Tournament will take place in Rabat, Morocco, from November 13 to 16, 2025.
The confirmation includes the full match schedule, venues, and kick-off times for this crucial final phase of the qualifiers.
In the opening semi-final, Nigeria 🇳🇬 will face Gabon 🇬🇦 on Thursday, November 13, with kick-off set for 4:00 PM (Nigerian Time).
Later that evening, Cameroon 🇨🇲 will battle DR Congo 🇨🇩 in the second semi-final, scheduled to start at 7:00 PM.
Matches will be played across two venues — El Barid Stadium and the Prince Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex. A draw on Thursday, October 30, 2025, will determine which stadium will host each semi-final fixture.
The final is set for Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan Stadium, kicking off at 7:00 PM.
The tournament winner will advance to the FIFA Inter-Continental Play-Offs in March 2026, where they will compete for Africa’s 10th and final spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
